Is Cracking your fingers, neck and back bad for you? How do i stop?

Its such ba habbit and its so reliving after because they feel stiff when i dont esspecially my neck and back i crack my fingers evry 10 minutes and my neck every hour and my back 3 or 4 times a day, is this bad for you–how do i stop?

It is bad for you, but it depends on how you do it. If you go to a chiropractor, he/she will tell you that you probably should not do that. With your fingers, a lot of people say it gives you arthritis. I’m not sure if that’s true or not. Cracking is just relieving the excess air that is in the joints. You don’t want to crack your fingers by pressing down or together but rather by pulling your fingers or pushing the joint up. You don’t want your joints to rub together, which is what usually happens. I suffer from the same habit myself. I crack my fingers and my neck. Usually when I crack my neck i make it worse because i don’t crack it right. Which is why I go to the chiropractor. Maybe go to the chiropractor..that way he can fix it…your neck will be less stiff giving you less of a feeling to crack it.

its not thought to harm you in any long term way no
but it is like an ocd so its soemting that you maybe need to deal with
you stop the same way you stop anything you cant do anymore,, you force yourself to just do it
