Question by : Is a hard back brace any good?
I had surgery for a herniated disc (L4-L5) a year or so ago. I also have borderline medium Idiopathic scoliosis. Not to mention I have the worst posture on this planet. I feel like a hard back brace may be nice. My back aches a lot, and gets tired easily, even after year+ of physical therapy. Would a hard back brace be an option? would it help? (I know you’re not my doctor but I still want your input). Is it something to ask my doctor or am I way off?
Just random other info
I’m kinda on the tallish side (5’6ish) and I am in high school.
Also I understand a brace could be a pain and inconvenient to wear but I don’t mind. I kinda see it as a protective shell almost.
Anyways um thanks.
I would know a pinched nerve and that has nothing to do with a back brace… >.<

tight and pinched muscles are causing your back pains. Pinched muscles pull on the vertebrae hard enough and long enough to cause disc failure. Freeing up your back muscles gets rid of the pinched muscles so you can be pain free. Some with scoliosis have found enough relief with this that they opted out of surgery for it. Here’s how to free up the muscles to give you relief to your back muscles:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

First you should increase your proteins such as chicken and also incorporate several vegetables and fruits into your diet, by adding the additional fiber and protein you will start to lose the fat so that the workouts you are able to do will show better results. Question by jen m: mbt sneakers good for your health?
Hello does anyone own a pair of mbt sneakers or shoes? Do you know if they’re supposed to be good for you? They’re supposed to help support your back and posture and all? I have a pair and i just took them off after 1 hour because my back was killing me. Sometimes I wear them then I feel fine walking in them, then after a while I get tired then i take them off. After I take them off my back hurts and feels like it’s going to snap. I can’t tell if they’re good for you or not.

Takes time to get used to good posture! Wear your MBT`s an hour or two. Watch the video and do not work against the walk. I have arthritic pain and it seems that the worse I hurt,my posture gets worse. Good posture and alignment helps to prevent pain and stress on the spine.

It won’t necessarily make you grow because growth is dependent upon the bones… but it will make you appear more confident and slightly taller. Good posture helps your body too.
